The Two Parties Hold a Promotion Conference in Suizhou, Hubei, Announce Annual Strategic Goals, and Strengthen Collaborative Layout in the New Energy and Special Purpose Vehicle Sectors
On September 4, 2023, Foton Times, a renowned Chinese commercial vehicle brand, and Jiayun Automobile, a special purpose vehicle manufacturer, co-hosted a strategic cooperation promotion conference in Suizhou, Hubei Province. The conference aimed to summarize the cooperation achievements of the two parties, outline the future development direction, further consolidate the partnership by announcing annual goals, and jointly explore the domestic and overseas special purpose vehicle markets in China.
Since the establishment of cooperation in 2018, Foton Times has been providing Jiayun Automobile with high-quality special purpose vehicle chassis, competitive business policies and comprehensive after-sales services, emerging as a core and stable partner of Jiayun Automobile. Up to now, the sales proportion of Foton Times' special chassis in Jiayun Automobile has reached 10%, and Foton Times has maintained the fastest growth rate among all of Jiayun Automobile's chassis suppliers. Looking ahead, the two parties plan to further deepen cooperation, achieve full-range product coverage, build an efficient collaborative system covering supply, production and sales, and jointly boost the development of China's special purpose vehicle industry.
In his speech, Gong Haidong, Vice President of Foton Motor Group and President of the Times Business Division, pointed out that China's economy is now recovering steadily, the commercial vehicle market has entered a phase of restorative growth, and the special purpose vehicle market is embracing a crucial development period. From January to August 2023, the sales volume of Foton Times' special chassis surged by 84.3% year-on-year to 6,500 units, delivering a strong performance. He stated that Foton Times will continue to adhere to its strategic planning, increase investment in the new energy sector, optimize the special purpose vehicle service system, build a rapidly responsive supply chain, and target an annual sales breakthrough of 10,000 units in the Suizhou area.
At the conference, Liang Xunqian, Director of the Special Purpose Vehicle Technology Center of Foton Times Technology Research Institute, introduced the company's R&D strategies and layout for special purpose vehicle chassis. Faced with market challenges, Foton has set up a special R&D team and developed an agile development process, committed to providing more competitive new energy and traditional special purpose vehicle chassis products.
Sun Haibin, the responsible person of regional marketing in Suizhou, further elaborated on the cooperation model between Foton Times and Jiayun Automobile. He emphasized that the two parties will continue to advance the "one-stop service for chassis and upper body assembly", integrate resources, provide more efficient and convenient after-sales support for end customers, and enhance the overall user experience.
During the conference, the two parties jointly announced the 2023 annual strategic goal – to achieve the sales of 200 units of Foton Times' special chassis at Jiayun Automobile. This goal marks a new stage in the cooperation between the two parties and also reflects their determination to jointly explore the market and pursue a win-win future.
