Hopper Salt Spreader Drive & Installation Options
Hopper Salt Spreaders can be configured according to the power system of the carrier vehicle. Customers can choose a vehicle-integrated hydraulic system or a fully independent spreading system based on their truck configuration and operating requirements.

How to Choose the Right Configuration
1. Truck Without Hydraulic Power
If the carrier vehicle does not have a hydraulic system, the spreader can be supplied with a dedicated hydraulic power and control system.
2. Truck With Existing Hydraulic Power
If the vehicle already has a hydraulic system, the spreader can use the vehicle's hydraulic power through the PTO system.
3. Fully Independent Spreader
For applications where the spreader should operate independently from the carrier vehicle, a self-powered configuration can be used.
The spreader has its own engine and electrical system, allowing it to operate without relying on the truck's hydraulic system.
Note : Suitable for the customer who wants the spreader to remain independent of the carrier vehicle.
What Should Customers Confirm Before Ordering?
Customers should confirm:
1.Carrier vehicle: Truck model and available installation space
2.Hydraulic system: Whether the vehicle has an existing hydraulic system
3.PTO availability: Whether hydraulic power can be taken from the vehicle
4.Spreading material: Salt, deicer, dry sand, or other materials
5.Spreading width: Required working width
6.Spreading capacity: Required material output
7.Independent operation: Whether a self-powered configuration is required
